Ramses XII successfully participated again in 2010 in the World Championship for Young Horses in Verden, Germany, this time with our new rider Marit Vaiksaar.
As Marit has had only 3 month to get to know Ramses, and considering the very tough competition, the result was indeed satisfying.
Ramses XII as 6-years old with Marit Vaiksaar at World Championship for Young Dressage Horses in Verden, Germany.
Ramses XII has defenitely developed a lot, even though Marit has only had 3 months to get to know him.
Maiken Lepiste and Ramses XII represented Estonia at the FEI World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses 5. - 9. August 2009 in Verden, Germany.
At Liivaku Stables we were pleased to learn, that both the horse and the rider did very well on the first day. The equipage was competing against some of the worlds best riders (incl. Ingrid Klimke, Ulf Möller, Eva Möller, Andreas Helgstrand, Hans Peter Mindehoud etc.) and of course against the best horses and ended up as 24. with the good score of 7,58. Maiken kept her head cool and spared Ramses, who was unfortunately quit tired on that day. He actually did only 50% of what he can do on a good day. On the second day she tried to ask a little more, but unfortunately Ramses XII hit himself and stumbled, and as the judges noticed, he became a little uneven. Evenso, they ended up with 6,98, which we consider a good score under the circumstances.
Legolas unfortunately had to stay back halfway to Germany, as he hit himself when turned out after training in Denmark. We are confident, that he will get an other chance to show his enourmous capacity in the future.
